In the first Issues of Dream Forum we spoke of elements in dreams. We established a few things.

• Elements are Personal, Biblical or General

• Your Personal connection to an element is the most-likely interpretation.

• Some elements are very established in scripture

• Some Biblically established elements have opposing definitions, we spoke of the obvious dichotomy of the Lion of Judah and the enemy who walks around like a lion seeking who he can devour.

The Mansion in Issue number 16 and the Mansion in todays post are another good example of this dichotomy.

Below is a Dream about a mansion sent to me by someone. Lets look at the different messaging. The mansion in Issue number sixteen was not a manmade house but a house built by or for the righteous remnant. Lets look at the Dream for this week.

I am walking around a massive mansion with two other guys. My son built it. It is completely empty and must be at least 3 to 400 yards long, even more. I’m coming down a set of steps to the ground floor with the two guys. I turned left and the first room, on the left, has a huge cathedral ceiling, maybe 200 feet high with a massive dome. The room must be at least 150 to 200 feet square. We continue down the hallway and I noticed a room on the right that looks like an entranceway to the front of the house. It is very long with big windows looking out into the front yard. It is not very deep maybe only 30 or 40 feet from the hallway to the windows, but it is very wide. I did not get a good look at it as we passed it. Then I told the two guys I wanted to go back and see that room, there is something about it. As we’re walking, we’re looking through a video camera that the one guy is holding, but he’s holding it too low as we walk and I’m not seeing the opening to this room. The video is more focused on the floor. My son ran out, got some ham and eggs and wanted to show me.

I get an immediate sense from this dream looking at the first few sentences and the last sentence, that the son is building something that he is proud of and wants to share it and celebrate with his father.

• This can be a positive or a negative, an anticipated time of joy or a warning.

Right now, what he has built is empty. At this point in the dream, there is only this kingdom that the son built, but it brings no comfort, warmth or satisfaction. It is massive but empty and void.

• Will it be filled? Maybe! The Ham and eggs can indicate that “something new”, (the egg), is about to break forth and the celebration is being planned. (the ham.)

• Ham and eggs is also a breakfast which indicates the dawning of a new day.

The Dreamer was trying to see the entrance to look out into the front yard which would indicate looking into the future and he could not see the future. The foundation was all he could see looking back (looking back through the video).

• The foundation was solid and is the focus

• This may indicate that the son needs to change his focus. Start to fill his life with the things that really matter and stop focussing on building his kingdom.

• The time of filling this mansion might start with this new thing or new birth. (the egg.)

Many cathedrals were mans attempt at replicating the glory of the Temple of God, but they were mans tribute to their religion and their achievements. Some were showing off how God was their God, and that they had favor with Him. Much like Israels Temple was indicating that God was with them.

I take this as a warning Dream. A change of focus is needed otherwise there is no future in sight regardless of the size of the kingdom.

In last weeks dream we had a mansion filled with God’s people. Celebrating and in various spiritual giftings. There was a warning about the storms that would rage all around but those that were focused on the things of God would be protected and in celebration.

This week that mansion takes on a different meaning.

• Just because there is a certain element in your dream, does not mean you can take for granted, that it means the same thing it did in the last dream.

• God is concerned with the things of the heart. Where your heart is, that is where your treasure is.

Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also

I believe we should all take this dream as a message to evaluate

• What we are doing?

• Ask, why am I doing it?

• What is the eternal value? When I stand before God what will it mean?

• What do I do to change if indeed I am found wanting?

• Am I building something thinking that “the Father” will be proud of me, but yet in the end it is empty?

1 Corinthians 3:13-15 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
