Issue #024 (2nd Type of Prophetic Dream) - Prophetic Internal Dreams
Spotify and Apple podcast available “Dream Forum“
We will continue with our three part breakdown of the 3 types of Dreams.
In issue 22 an overview of the three types of dreams was given. Issue 23 we talked about Internal dreams being all about you, how we identify an Internal Dream, and how that applies while interpreting such a dream.
Today we will look at Internal Prophetic Dreams. As mentioned in Issue 22, Internal Prophetic Dreams are about you, and your future. Let’s break this down so we can identify an Internal Prophetic Dream.
A few points to remember:
Internal Prophetic Dreams:
Are always about you and you alone.
They are always about the future.
You are the star, hero or focus of everything in the dream.
These dreams will warn you, direct you, help you walk into your future in ministry, relationships, work, etc.
Biblical examples of Prophetic Dreams.
Three examples that most bible readers are familiar with are:
The cup bearer for Pharaoh.
The baker for Pharaoh.
King Nebuchadnezzar Dream of a great tree being cut down and his 7 years of eating the grass of the field.
All three dreams are about the future and all three are about the dreamer. We will talk more about these as we continue.
These Prophetic dreams will include unfamiliar symbols.
Like the 3 dreams above your Prophetic Dreams introduce symbols that the you are not familiar with.
All 3 dreams require someone familiar with the Word of God to interpret these symbols.
We must write down the symbols and things that stand out as odd, confusing, or that just make no sense.
We must know the Word of God.
It is good to have a good search app to research these symbols.
Let Holy Spirit lead you in this.
In the case of the first two examples, Joseph was familiar with the Word of God and therefor recognized the symbolism in these dreams.
The cup bearer placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand again in his dream and grapevine grew and produces ripe clusters.
The poor baker had the baskets of white pastries on his head and the birds came and ate them.
Joseph saw the positive and negative aspects of these dreams and delivered a correct interpretation.
Joseph saw the symbols that the dreamers did not recognize or put together.
Each mans dream was about them and their future.
In the third example, Nebuchadnezzar’s dream was about his future.
His future did not necessarily have to go this direction.
Daniel told him to repent and ‘perhaps’ God would relent.
Trees are associated with people in the bible from the book of Genesis chapter one. Daniel knew this because, he knew the Word of God.
The other symbology in this dream, no one but Daniel would have been able to interpret, and only through the gift of interpretation by Holy Spirit.
In conclusion, distinguishing between an Internal Prophetic Dream and an Internal Dream comes down to two main things.
Once you know it is one of the Internal Dream types, you look at:
Is the Dream about the past or present.
Do the symbols in this dream seem unfamiliar and/or confusing.
Past and Present will indicate and Internal Dream.
Symbols that you do not recognize and the fact that you are not back in your past or present situation, this will indicate that it is prophetic and about your future.
