As Promised after the 3 part series about prophetic dreams, I will go through a dream shared with me when I asked for your questions, dreams and experiences.
I have this dream several times a year, it’s my mobile home my ex n two kids lived in back in the 80s. The home is by itself on a vacant lot far from anything. I always go to the abandoned home when kids n I are scared, we just end up there. It’s different inside than actually home but it’s always abandoned. My ex is never with us n he wasn’t much when we really lived there. Nothing happens there
This is a textbook dream about the past. Lets break it down.
What do we see jumping out at us?
The setting is in the past.
There is an abandoned home.
There is fear.
Nothing notable happened at this home.
First I can only work with the information available so I will assume a few things.
I will assume that the marriage was not a strong loving marriage due to the fact that the Ex was not around very much. As well as, the fact that he is an Ex. (Not a stretch I know but without a discussion with the dreamer I will rely on Holy Spirit and logic to guide me)
Again, only an assumption: the trailer in real life might not be far from anything else and so isolated, but in the dream it is.
The dreamer may have felt abandoned in real life without ever realizing it or acknowledging it fully. (but it had lasting effects)
The fact that the dreamer has this same dream several times a year, may indicate that these particular “times” may be triggers for the dreamer.
Next, the dreamer finds herself at this abandoned trailer, and every time she is scared.
Preliminary Interpretation:
Since this was where the dreamer lived with her husband and children in the 1980s, she is still dealing with something all of these decades later.
The Dreamer feels abandoned, even today. An orphan spirit will stay with someone all of their life unless it is dealt with. The feeling of abandonment all of those years ago by a husband who was never home, is still real. (An orphan spirit does not mean you were an orphan but have delt with feeling abandoned and this feeling gets trigger years later.)
Every time the dreamer is triggered by fear, or something that brings her back to this same feeling she felt all of those years ago, it is just like it is yesterday.
In a book by “Praying Medic” - Dave Hayes goes through every level of Emotional and Spiritual oppression. Alters and fragments are very common in many of our lives.
Dave shares that years after he started his healing ministry and was being used by God he had a situation whereby Rage was triggered in him by a particular circumstance. Wanting to understand how he could revert back, to something he had dealt with more than a decade ago, he reached out to a friend and fellow minister.
Dave discovered that the rage he use to deal with could be traced back to a single incident in his childhood. Due to the trauma of the event, his soul isolated the trauma and event, and removed it from his daily life so he could go on. He explains that God designed this into our being, so we would not be sidelined every time something bad happens in our life.
Like a large percentage of the population, the dreamer needs to recognize this and get counseling or read a book like “Emotional Healing Made Simple” - by Praying Medic.
Interpretation
The Lord is revealing to the Dreamer that this past trauma of abandonment that brought on fear needs to be dealt with. This time in the dreamers life has followed her for too many years and she has an opportunity to be free from it.
Many times the hardest step, is the step following the realization that there is an issue. For a majority, That step is called forgiveness, and many won’t go anywhere near this dreaded step. BUT THERE IS NO WAY FORWARD without FORGIVENESS. A great weight will be lifted off of the dreamer if they are brave enough to ask God to help them forgive, and He will. Christian Counseling is very encouraged and can be life changing.
Matthew 6:14,15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
