What if I never Dream?

Prior to 2020 I did not recall ever dreaming since I was a kid and the dreams that I remembered dreaming where a handful of dreams where I was trying to fly. The last one that I remember I was able to takeoff and maintain flight for a short period of time.

Now I record at least 1000 dreams every year. Some are a word that comes and some a phrase. Some a scripture, and once a song that was given to me. Maybe 3 or 4 times a month (just a guess) I have a story dream, an adventure or a special operations clandestine dream. Not only are these fun and fascinating they speak into current and future hopes, dreams and even events.

As of 2024 I recall at least 4 attack dreams where I was being choked and intimidated and helpless. In the first one I really struggled to get out of the dream. In the last one, though I could not speak or get out or call out to Jesus, I laughed at the enemy, my thoughts saying “you got nothing, you have no power”. This broke the attack. I have not had an attack since.

I also remember one day, having not recorded a dream the night before, walking out into my garage and seeing my sons stroller and a very vivid dream that I did have that night came to me, every detail, the stroller was in the dream.

So what did I do to get all of these dreams.

  1. I had been seeking, reading scripture, intentionally surrounding myself with other believers of like mind.

  2. Then I asked God for DREAMS intending to steward what He gave me.

How do I steward my Dreams?

  1. I write them down, sometimes whatever I can remember (which is what the Lord wants me to remember)

  2. I break them down and ask Holy Spirit to help me because as Daniel told King Nebuchadnezzar, God gives the interpretation.

DREAM Submitted

There is a tall waterfall feeding a river. Not too far down on the side of the river, there is a shorter waterfall refreshing the river with more water.

INTERPRETATION Below

Todays Insight

Water in a dreams is associated with God in a number of contexts.

Hint: water shows up in dreams in many ways. It may be raining in the dream, a small drizzle or pouring rain. There may be a flood. It may be a body of water that is standing still or it may be water that is moving either in a stream or a river. In the dream above, we have water falling into moving water.

Water in Dreams

Water in the Bible is associated with Holy Spirit, the power and/or judgement of God among others. This is where you would do a Bible search and see all the different context associated with water that fits with your dream (Ocean, Lake, etc.)

Flowing Water:

Streams and Rivers refer to the flowing of the Spirit of God, bringing the good things of God.

Rivers feed, they refresh, give life, like a tree planted beside the waters…

Psalm 46:4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

Psalm 65:9 You visit the earth and You water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it.

Rain:

- A Gentle rain can be a picture of being saturated by the Spirit of God

- A Heavy rain can be a powerful outpouring of Holy Spirit, a powerful and brief drenching

- Sealing the hand of every man, this sounds like a commissioning

Job 37:6,7 For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. 7 He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work.

  • Pounding devastating rain, judgement! (in this case a rain of judgement, coals, fire and brimstone.)

Psalm 11:6 Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.

  • God’s provision

Psalm 147:8 Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.

Water Fall

A crashing of a waterfall is the sound from heaven calling you deeper.

Psalm 42:7  Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me.

Use the context in which water is referenced in the dream, to determine what it may represent in the dream.

RESEARCH into the scriptures is ongoing bringing more and more, deeper and deeper revelation into His Word and what He is speaking to you through DREAMS.

An Interpretation for the above dream

In the dream above we have 3 elements and their interaction with each other

  • A Tall Waterfall

  • A smaller Waterfall

  • A River

  • Both waterfalls interacting with river

There is only one scripture in the Bible that references a waterfall directly and that is posted above Psalm 42:7 … Deep calls to Deep …at the noise of…ALL Your waves… HAVE gone over me

  • I heard one preacher stating the Deep things of God calling to the Deep things within me..

  • The noise of a Tall waterfall is significant, powerful and in this dream it is the SOURCE of the River (the flow of the Holy Spirit)(The source of Life)

  • Notice that in Psalm 42 it is waterfall(s) - plural

  • This is the LONE reference to a waterfall Biblically so we start here unless the dream leads us to a PERSONAL application that we discussed in Issue #001

Here is an interpretation. What we have is a very limited dream with a biblical application that speaks like a bible teaching to us. The dreamer and maybe you and I are being called deeper. Claim this for yourself and submit to its instruction.

Interpretation: God is the source of all things(Large waterfall). As we seek the DEEP things of God, digging deep within (the crashing sound of the waterfall) the POWER of God will be magnified in our life. We will experience the flow of the Spirit of God, (the river of God ) And just when we are being captivated by the power of His love, wave after wave of His presence, (crashing over me ) there is more. Another crashing (second waterfall) of His infinite power and love and grace will burst forth at God’s appointed time.(down river)

The scripture that comes to mind “for to the one who has, more will be given..”

Luke 8:18 Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”

  • what jumps out at me is “Take heed HOW YOU HEAR” - this is in reference to the seeds that were sown and where they fell. Lots to dig into here.
